Both tracks were great riding but surely hammered the body with the bumps and hard cornering. I can feel them all now!
Most of the trail was in forest like this. Stunning to be in and great to ride.
Unfortunately this spot was where some guy, we think called Geoff hit a tree pretty hard. We were with him for 30 minutes and he was coming in and out all that time. His bike showed how hard he hit the tree.
Those handle bars are supposed to upright, and they are very hard to bend.
We think that Geoff was ok though, he was moving all his limbs and reacting to stimulus like the needle into his arm for the tap! He got a free helicopter ride to Hamilton and I hope he woke up enough to enjoy some of it. I don’t know how we can find out how he is getting on? It seems he came on his own and at the end of the day they were still looking for his car.
Shane and Lewis from Downs came along and Lewis gave all of us someone to try to catch up to! Luckily for him another “youngster” he knew was there and they proceed to lap the circuit in record times. They had the Polaris tent up and with the four of us it was good advertising.
